Sr. Manager, Corporate HR Operations
Saint John, NB

In this HR Leadership role, you will serve as a trusted adviser for Corporate Human Resources and will provide strategic HR support, collaborate and help integrate HR services across our company. You will provide advice to the leadership teams related to HR policy & legislation, support managers dealing the employee issues, and facilitate coaching and training programs to increase leadership capabilities. Day-to-day focus of this role is to lead and support a team of HR professionals.

What you’ll need to succeed:

Performance management of a team of HR professionals, including the creation and execution of development plans, goal setting and on-going coaching and assessment.
Ensuring the appropriate HR resources are assigned, aligned and executing on the critical HR operational activities. Ensure people, focus and emphasis is allocated appropriately through coordination.
Managing implications of Human Resource risk to the business line by advising on Employee Relations and Legislative issues as they relate to people practice.
Understanding the Operating Strategy for Human Resources, executing and supporting HR plans including Recruiting, On-boarding, Performance Management, Learning & Development, Succession Planning, Compensation and Benefits, Work Environment and compliance with all HR & labour laws.
Participating in operational planning processes.
Support culture and talent outcomes in support of strategic objectives.
Lead HR cycles such as performance management, compensation, career development, workforce planning and succession planning.
Coach leadership to enable team effectiveness and leadership alignment sessions.
Facilitate talent pipeline conversations
Serve as the HR lead on medium to large projects both within the business and across the functional groups
Leverage Workforce planning to develop and implement recruitment plans including the resource to deliver against it. Identification of risks and mitigation plans to reduce those risks.
Utilizing strong business acumen, operations, and HR expertise to ensure strategic alignment to talent management practices.
Act as a thinking partner and coach to designated management team focused on employee relations, people development process, recruitment, retention, etc.
Apply strong leadership and collaboration to drive a One Company approach to our strategy.

Travel

Some travel within Eastern Canada may be required for this position.

Education and experience

Post-secondary education in Human Resources, business or in a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 8 to 10 years progressive experience in Human Resources
Minimum 5 years’ experience as a leader of people
Demonstrated experience in HR Operations
CPHR (Chartered Professional in Human Resources) or other professional HR designation an asset
