Position Summary

Our client is seeking an experienced and strategic Director of Engineering to lead its engineering operations and drive innovation across the organization. The successful candidate will provide strong technical leadership, oversee complex projects, and collaborate with senior management to align engineering priorities with overall business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership, direction, and mentorship to multi-disciplinary engineering teams.
  • Develop and implement engineering strategies, processes, and best practices to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects from concept through completion.
  • Partner with senior leadership to align technical initiatives with corporate goals.
  • Manage budgets, staffing, and resource allocation for engineering functions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and methodologies to advance organizational capabilities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, CET or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive engineering experience, including at least 5 years in a leadership capacity.
  • Proven track record managing teams and delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong understanding of engineering principles, design processes, and project management best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on management.
