Our client, a leader in refrigerated logistics, is seeking a dynamic Director of Seafood Logistics in their Moncton Refrigerated Distribution Center in Moncton, NB. This pivotal role will drive the achievement of annual sales targets across Less-Than-Truckload (LTL), Truckload (TL), courier, and logistics brokerage divisions, ensuring operational excellence and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth: Strategize and execute plans to increase volume and revenue across LTL, TL, courier, and brokerage divisions, aligning with the company’s annual Coastline sales objectives.
- Rate Agreement Management: Negotiate and finalize rate agreements on time, meeting or exceeding targets set by the executive leadership team.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with audit teams to manage adjustments, operations teams to ensure on-time service, and customer service teams to address client needs and enhance satisfaction.
- Team Leadership: Mentor and coach team members to foster a high-performing, collaborative work environment.
- Process Optimization: Leverage data and technology to streamline logistics processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in operations.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, logistics, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience: 7–10 years of progressive experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced knowledge of AS400 and Microsoft Excel; familiarity with other logistics software is an asset.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to engage with stakeholders at all levels.
- Leadership Abilities: Proven ability to lead, mentor, and motivate teams, with strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
- Adaptability: Thrives in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to meeting deadlines.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of seafood logistics or perishable goods transportation is preferred.
