Manager, Human Resources
Location: Saint John, NB
Our client has an opening for a Manager, Human Resources.
As the Human Resources Manager, you are a key strategic partner, reporting to the Director, IT Business Management and working with the IT leadership team. You will be responsible for developing and implementing HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business and corporate strategy. You will proactively cultivate and promote best practice human resource management while providing day to day operational advice, consultation, and support in the areas of recruitment, performance management, coaching and employee engagement.
Your Focus:
- Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives
- Develop, implement, and maintain human resources policies and programs
- Guide leaders and employees with respect to company policies and implementation to ensure HR matters are managed consistently and in a timely manner
- Oversee day to day management of human resource functions
- Support performance management process including performance reviews, talent reviews and employee development
- Develop a superior workforce, people strategy and organization development related to workforce management
- Manage stay and exit interview process
- Coach and train managers in their communication, feedback, recognition, and interaction responsibilities with the employees who report to them
- Ensure managers are effectively communicating with their employees
- Lead employee engagement program
- Support the current and future business needs through the development, engagement, and motivation of people
- Provide decision support and recommendations through HR metrics
You Have:
- Bachelor’s Degree in human resources management, or a related field
- 5-10 years of progressive Human Resources management experience
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- High level of diligence, detail and follow up
- Curious, strategic mindset with the ability to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects
