JOB DESCRIPTION
Our client, the Moncton Wildcats, is a Canadian junior ice hockey team in the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League. Founded in 1996, the team is one of the premier hockey clubs in the Canadian Hockey League.

The Sponsorship Manager is a high-energy member of the Moncton Wildcats Business Operations department. Reporting to the General Manager of Business Operations, the Sponsorship Manager must form exceptional working relationships with new and existing sponsors, game day and marketing staff as well as office administration.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and maintain relationships with current and potential sponsors
- Identify potential new sponsors and pitch sponsorship opportunities
- Negotiate contracts and other agreements with sponsors
- Manage and own all sponsor activations and communications
- Provide an exceptionally high level of service year-round to all sponsors to ensure a high level of future renewals
- Monitor sponsor compliance with contractual obligations
- Develop strategies to increase revenue from sponsorships
- Analyze sponsorship performance and report results to senior management
- Working closely with Marketing staff, represent the Wildcats at various community events to promote the Moncton Wildcats securing leads for potential sponsors and other sales
- Assist with other duties as required, including but not limited to ticket sales and service, staff training, digital media content creation and distribution, and working with gameday staff
QUALIFICATIONS
- A bachelor’s degree (or diploma) in business, communications sports management or marketing is preferred and additional education or experience in the sports industry would be considered an asset
- Experience working with sponsorships and partnerships is beneficial
- Strong customer service and negotiating skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in both languages is not essential but would be preferred
- Strong time-management and organizational skills
- Exceptional work ethic, eagerness to learn, professionalism and a passion for the sport industry
- Strong network of connections in the business community would be considered a bonus
- Willingness to work evenings and weekends, including all Moncton Wildcats home games and community events.
