Millwright Mechanic

Our client is a well-established, respected manufacturer and a leader in the industry. Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Millwright Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting of process equipment in a continuous manufacturing plant.
Responsible for:
- Ensure proper mechanical and electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery
- Must be able to troubleshoot, repair and install mechanical components and have a general working knowledge of electrical systems.
- Knowledge and Experience working with machine tools (lathe, milling machine,etc).
- Must have experience with Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems
- Repairing and performing routine maintenance on production equipment (i.e. riveters, roll formers, piercing/metal forming equipment).
- Maintaining logs and records of work performed as well as materials and equipment used.
- Responsible for checking and calibrating instruments.
- Responding immediately to emergency situations.
- Must be familiar with the use of measuring tools and safe operation of hand tools including grinders, drills, mechanical saws, sanders, and buffers.
Qualifications:
- Possess Journeyman Industrial Millwright Certification
- 3-5 Years of Industrial experience
- Good interpersonal, organizational, and listening skills
- Good communication skills (Verbal and Written)
- Experience in sheet metal industry an asset
- Minimum 3 years experience as a millwright in a manufacturing setting
- Holds a valid Industrial Millwright Mechanic license.
- Excellent understanding of Safety in an industrial environment.
- Strong mechanical, analytical and problem solving skills.
