Regional Manager, Chemical Sales and Brokerage


Our client, a prominent player in the chemical sales and brokerage sector, is currently seeking a highly qualified individual to fill the position of Regional Manager of Chemical Sales and Brokerage. This role is based in Ontario, Canada, with the flexibility to be located in Montreal, QC, or Saint John, NB, for the right candidate.


As the Regional Manager, you will hold a pivotal role in driving sales functions and operations, developing strategic marketing programs to enhance revenue and profits, and ensuring the achievement of quarterly and annual sales targets. Your responsibilities encompass developing distribution channels, fostering strategic business relationships, devising innovative business development strategies, and providing effective leadership in executing sales strategies.


Key responsibilities include achieving sales revenue and gross margin targets, deploying sales goals and objectives across the organization, analyzing pricing effectiveness and market trends to implement actionable strategies, monitoring the marketing budget, and executing both long-term and short-term sales strategies to stimulate business growth. You will also be tasked with maintaining and expanding key customer relationships, identifying and exploring new markets in line with the company’s growth strategy, assessing operational competitiveness, staying updated on market developments, sourcing and quoting contracts, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the sales and operations teams.


The ideal candidate for this role will possess an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, a minimum of 3 years of experience in bulk chemical brokerage sales and operations, a strong understanding of regulatory and safety standards related to bulk chemical transportation, excellent consultative selling skills, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team-oriented environment. A proven track record of driving growth and bilingualism would be considered assets.
