We are currently looking for a Civil Engineer to join our client’s team in Saint John, NB as Senior Civil Project Manager.  As the successful candidate you will be pivotal in establishing and nurturing relationships with key civil and industrial clients and partners, spearheading critical initiatives and driving the success of major projects.


In this role you will take charge of day-to-day interactions, collaborate closely with decision-makers on site and within the project team as well as oversee job scopes, estimates, and resource plans. With your expertise, you’ll meticulously plan and execute project construction, ensuring strict adherence to design specifications, safety protocols, and budget constraints to meet profitability objectives. Managing subcontractors and suppliers will be central to your responsibilities, as will guiding and inspiring the project team towards delivering professional and cost-effective plans and specifications. Effective communication will underpin your leadership style, fostering transparency and synergy within the team. Your keen eye for innovation will drive continuous improvement, as you identify opportunities to optimize design and material selections, enhancing value for our clients. From tendering to contract management, you’ll navigate every aspect of project finances with precision, tracking budgets, quantifying design changes, and managing progress claims and change orders. As a mentor and coach, you’ll empower team members, while ensuring unwavering adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards.


As the successful candidate, you are a P.Eng. (Civil) with experience in large civil projects and are proficient in MS Project. A Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification would be considered an asset. Demonstrated leadership abilities, coupled with effective communication and strong interpersonal skills, are essential. Critical thinking, problem-solving, and exceptional time management skills are key attributes.
