Senior Communications Lead

Our client is looking for a Senior Communication Lead for their Saint John, NB Head Office.

The successful candidate is an enthusiastic communicator who thrives in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.

 

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Manage public image for the Division by creating and implementing marketing campaigns.
  • Develop strategies to promote positive perception and execute work and communications plans;
  • Audit internal communication systems and provide advice/recommendations to senior leaders.
  • Participating in meetings, training sessions, and workshops and providing recommendations for improvements.
  • Ensure the Divisional photo library is up to date.
  • Message development from beginning to end including planning, writing, reviewing, formatting, editing, proofreading, and disseminating through various channels;
  • Complete writing assignments according to set standards regarding accuracy, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology using approved processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • 5-8+ years of communications experience combined with strong business acumen.
  • Highly energetic individual contributor with a dedication to meeting deadlines.
  • Demonstrated experience in internal communications in a multi-site environment.
  • Experienced with external communications across multiple channels would be an asset;
  • Demonstrated track record in prioritizing and time management with the ability to work on multiple projects as competing priorities emerge.
  • Advanced computer skills especially Microsoft Office including Microsoft Word, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Excel, and SharePoint.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
  • University Degree in Communications, Journalism or related fields.
  • Proficiency in the creative development of content for digital and social media including capability with related analytics and optimization.
  • Special projects including monitoring quality and accuracy of dashboards, digital screens, etc.;
  • Other duties/projects as assigned.
