Our client is currently seeking applicants for the position of Operations Manager (P.Eng). The Operations Manager will play a crucial role in overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations within the organization. Drawing on an engineering background, the successful candidate will be responsible for implementing efficient processes, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods, and managing a team of professionals. This role requires a strategic mindset, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record in operations management.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement efficient operational processes to streamline the workflow.
  • Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
  • Lead and motivate a team of professionals and provide guidance and support to ensure team members adhere to safety protocols and operational standards.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors, negotiating contracts and ensuring service level agreements are met.
  • Evaluate vendor performance and make recommendations for improvements or changes.
  • Develop and manage budgets, focusing on cost-effective solutions without compromising service quality.
  • Implement and enforce safety and compliance standards.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging team members to contribute ideas and innovations.
  • Implement best practices to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers to ensure a smooth flow of information.

Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering field.
  • 8-10 yrs of proven experience in operations management with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.
